Dr. Charles Matarazzo
Dr. Charles Matarazzo was born and raised here in northern New Jersey. He founded Duo Dental Group with the mission to build a patient centric practice to provide patients with the ultimate dental experience. He has great pride that the team is built on providing compassionate, superior quality care with open and honest communication in a comfortable atmosphere.
He brings a unique perspective with a background in the dental laboratory—working in his father’s lab before attending dental school. This provides him with a particular clinical understanding of what it takes to provide patients with their desired results. After college, he obtained his dental education from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, graduating cum laude. After dental school he completed a general practice residency at the NJ VA Hospital in East Orange where he obtained training in implant dentistry, endodontics and oral surgery procedures while treating men and women who served our country. From there, he has spent countless hours expanding his clinical suite from the latest advances in preventive care to extensive, full mouth rehabilitations. Dr-Matarazzo is extensively trained in the surgical and restorative aspects of implant dentistry and was awarded his fellowship in implant dentistry from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Richard Mullin
Dr. Richard Mullin is an engaging and dedicated dentist based in Union, NJ who brings a newer dental perspective to his patients. Dr. Mullin grew up in Clark, NJ where he found his passion for dentistry working for his family’s orthodontic laboratory. After years of enjoying the details and art involved in creating orthodontic appliances, he knew he wanted to dedicate the rest of his life to perfecting the craft and pursuing dentistry. Dr. Mullin then went on to attend Lafayette College for an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and then, finally, New York University College of Dentistry, where he specialized in general dentistry. He completed his residency at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs New Jersey Health Care System located in East Orange, NJ where he was able to expand his knowledge in the field of dentistry while treating those who served our country. Dr. Mullin’s expansive dental experience includes procedures such as: dental implants, root canals, tooth extractions, dental fillings and crowns, and teeth whitening. Dr. Mullin plans to continue educating himself on the latest dental technology and procedures to ensure that his patient’s needs are always satisfied.
